Filming

So today and sunday we did some bulk of our filming, we went up to Waltham Abbey and managed to get a few good shots, although we didn't have anyone to film us so we had to use our imagination for pieces where we were together. Today we borrowed our friend Heather who's a photography student and also was a part of our film last year to help us film. We didn't get everything we needed as it conveniently started raining, but the stuff we did get included a little old fashioned mini in shot which we like for our 'british' theme. Here's some photo's of Waltham Abbey from sunday's filming.

We both really loved this shot. You could see the clouds in the window next to the London themed lamppost. The use of reflections goes against our music video, as for 2 girls we're not using the music video as sex appeal which most girl artist videos use to appeal to their audience, so it shows a reflection which contrasts with what we want to go against.

We used this wall for a 'middle classed' shot. We were hoping to use a hint of difference in classes throughout the video so we can analyse it in depth throughout our exam.

 FRONT COVER
Here's the front cover of my digipak 'Backseat'. I've used the animation yet realistic photograph to show our genre and how our music will be quirky and uplifting. The use of reds and the bus show's we're a british band, obviously filming around London. I've also put the album title on the bus title so it shows we're trying to get somewhere and 'Backseat' is our destination. I used 'Backseat' as I thought it represented the message I'm trying to get across. Our duo are heading somewhere and although they're trying, they're still on the backseat in comparison to the big bands.
BACK COVER
Here's my back cover. Again i've kept with the red theme to show the continuity. I've used the mise-en-scene of a brick wall and window simply because I thought it contrasts well with the London theme. I had our tracklist sitting on the window ledge along with us so it could convey how our duo are as passionate as our music as we are about making it. I created the barcode online through a barcode generator.

INSIDE LEFT HAND SIDE
I used this image that I took whilst at work, simply of sugar and used my finger to write 'Bacci + Filter' in it. I thought it was quite quirky and suited out genre, it was just a muck about. Once I edited it on photoshop, I found it looked quite cool and could fit in to our digipak scheme. I duplicated the images 9 times and changed the colour of each one to a different editing technique that was available.

INSIDE RIGHT HAND SIDE
Similar to the inside left hand side of the digipak, I used the same image although expanded the size and used an 'emboss' technique and changed the colours to create a girly yet edgy look for where the C.D would be. I used the white ring on WORD through inserting an object, and my idea was to have the CD to have the image on as an insert for the digipak, so when you take out the disc the image would be underneath, as it shows
 to the right.

DIGIPAK

Last night I was a bit bored at work, and as I work in a bakery I thought it would be a bit of fun to work around with some of the stuff. I quite like the sugar effect, and might think about incorporating it in to the inside cover of my digipak just for a bit of creativity. The use of colourful bakery stuff could be something that could be used in our music video also, because the colours and use of them create a fun effect which is what we're going for.

CHANGE OF SONG

well well well, once again Millie and I have changed our minds. We both thought we were at a mental block with our song, so from our tracklist's, we realised that we have a Remix. From this we went researching for a good remix of our song and found Mr E's remix which we both loved. It's the same song with all the singing but a lot more cheery and suits us a lot more.
So today we went out to Waltham Abbey, got a few shots with a boarded up background. Our video is still aiming to be our quirky side, although we've changed our minds for the whole thing to be like a story where we're getting somewhere, and at the end we have a quirky destination. Here's our song

Digipak

         Here's pictures from a photo shoot we took yesterday, we used around our area but shot pictures that were relevant to what we were looking for. From our research in to other artists digipak's, we went out knowing that we wanted to shoot us in our shots. I initially wanted to take photos in front of two buses next to each other, to relate to ourselves as travelling artists. Although, we can not control when the busses could leave the bus station! So we took a picture in front of a single-decker bus, relating to youth, london and travelling which I wanted to portray through our artist. 

 We also used the window as we thought it would be quite quirky, it's not very clear but we were sitting on a window-seal, which showed our young portrayal. 

Twitter

Without seeming repetitive, today I had a university interview and travelled on a south west train. As I was on the train I realised they were advertising their twitter, with a notice 'follow us on twitter! @SW_Trains'. I found it interesting, as from my previous research I commented on celebrities being able to keep in touch with their fans.

Similarly, this allows the train companies to keep their customers happy, and apologise without going through being on a helpline for a long time. Twitter seems to keep everyone connected, and allows everyone to keep on track with what's going on!

Filming

Millie and I set out on friday for an hour of filming seen as though the weather and lighting was perfect. We got some shots we were happy with, although when it came to importing we found that the setting was wrong which disallowed us to export our footage on to our editing programmes. Hopefully we can re-film the exact same thing with good weather this week and get cracking with it! The below print screen is what came up on iMovie whilst trying to import.
